The Open Door
Written and transcribed by Terry Grant
This is the conclusion of a message I have transcribed and edited from a talk Ishvara gave on April 30, 2006. - TG.
Ishvara:
When you give up selfishness, when you give up that sense of, "What's in it for me?" and start realizing that you are the universe, that you are unique, that you are creative, that you have possibilities, you get on track, on course, and you are happening. It doesn't matter whether other people realize you are happening. It is nice when people recognize that you are on track. It is really nice to have other universal beings recognize you as a universal being. That is nice, but not necessary. You don't want to wait until you are recognized. You recognize yourself, you recognize who you are. You recognize the truth, the core of your existence, and then you are about Life, you are about existence, you are intelligence happening.
It is such a gift when you come to that place where you really understand what you are about. You are not about the programming and the conditioning. When you wake up, when you come into this realization of who you are as the universe, you can no longer be hypnotized, you can no longer be conditioned, you can no longer be fooled. You see right into the heart of things. You have tremendous compassion, patience and understanding for Life and how it works, and that knowing is quite powerful.
The beautiful thing about the New Consciousness and the new species, the new human, is that it only takes one individual to know. That one individual opens the door, and all other individuals immediately have access to what is known. Isn't that amazing? One person does the hard work. One person goes through this, does that, experiments with this, discovers that, and once it is known, it is knowable. Once somebody knows something, the door is wide open to everyone knowing it. Pretty amazing.
That is why there have been so few individuals who have entered the Natural State. There doesn't need to be a great number of individuals entering the Natural State. The Natural State is open, but it is not necessary for everybody to be in it. Once someone enters the Natural State, the door is wide open.
The Natural State is the place of awareness, The Consciousness, the connection, as in a Jesus, a Buddha or a Krishna. Those are outstanding individuals. They entered the Natural State, they entered knowing, they presented what was available at that time as the universe, and the door was opened to others, all sentient beings.
As the New Consciousness, this knower [pointing to himself] knows the New Consciousness, knows of the new species, the new human. It is known. It is possible. It is in front of you. The door is wide open for you to be yourself, for you to be in knowing. The information is present; you have access to it. The only obstacle is belief. If you don't believe you can know, you can't know. Isn't that funny? It is as simple as "To believe or not believe." THAT is the question. If you can believe that YOU know, you open yourself to this possibility.
For the most part, I am not in favor of beliefs, but in this instance if you believe you know, then you will come to know that you know, and other people might begin to know that you know. You become a knower. A knower is not a know-it-all. A knower is a person who is in touch, in connection, in context, in the flow of information of the universe, and is right through, right in, right-a-part-of the human-being existence.
So you are a knower. You have information, you have access. The door is wide open.
When I first started out on this course, I was operating a bookstore. The name of the bookstore was "The Open Door." Little did I know that, at that time, the door was opening. I didn't suspect then what I know now. I would have been satisfied at that time just to be an astrologer and a tarot reader who counseled people. That seemed to be very fulfilling, but then darned if I didn't wake up! (You get to the place where you are content with what you can do, and something like that overturns everything.) I was helping people, and that was a good thing, and I would have been satisfied to do that for the rest of my life. But then I woke up and realized that I had just been dabbling, and that there was far more for me to do.
I am the "Open Door." There are things to reveal, things to see, things to share, things to know. And that is not to cast aspersion on anyone who practices the various systems that assist people. I am not against psychology or psychiatry; it is just that those things are limited. You have to remain open-ended with things. You keep seeing the bigger picture. Then, as long as you are based in knowing, you can help people around you see a bigger picture. If you are based in belief, conditions, concepts or hypnosis, then you are just passing those on to people and that is not very helpful. Everybody is already in such conditioning, and you are just sort of fortifying where they are.
This is Life. This is it. What you see is what you get: The Open Door.
Allow for the possibility, allow for the moment. Recognize, as a knower, that you are connected in awareness with the whole of the universe. You are full of possibilities. Each moment is revealing those possibilities through direct experience. How you use your energy, how you use your time, is an exact example of where you are. By changing the way, you change yourself, moment by moment. Realize the truth through this awareness, allowing for these possibilities as existence itself. You are the universe. You are Life itself.
